How do I find the area of an irregular pentagon? Please Help!?

I'm doing a project for math and I need to find the area of the floor of my room. My room has 5 sides so its an irregular pentagon, not all sides are the same. I can't seem to find the formula for this anywhere, can someone please help me out?
