What should I wear?!?!? first day of school?

For going back to school in the fall. It's my first day at a new highschool, and I want to make a good impression. I have heard that the kids put you into cliques on the first day based on what you wear. I dont know what to wear!! are suede clogs still in? or are flats the way to go? what top should I wear? and do I go with dark wash or light wash jeans? or do I even do jeans at all!! and how should I wear my hair, and I HAVE to wear a scarf. so please give me an outfit that goes with a scarf. and last but not least, I dont know if I should buy like a TNA bag, which is what alot of other girls do, and I think it would easier to carry stuff around in that, or should I buy a regualr backpack. I dont really like backpacks so I dont know. :( Thanks in advance!!
