Zebra finchs not getting along, please help?

I don't have bird experience but would it maybe help to try putting an additional food dish in there so each could sleep in one? If that wouldn't work then I would take the one out at night and see if that helps. Good luck. Just try trial and error. My cats are the same way, one likes a certain food dish and the other likes his own.
